1. I hum to the pooch puppy. The first lullaby I sang to my last baby. He is now 37 and every parting from her is a melodrama. (Paradox)reminds me every time, of the occasion my mother (RIP) walked in while I was struggling to breast feed (now 37 yr old pooch “parent”) post C section and she said to the nurse ” you know what they say about women with big nipples”.

2. When my daughter says ” I’m nearly home, Mum”, names a place ” just near the bridge” while driving. (Paradox) and I know she’s really about two and a half hours further back up the road.

3. I knit rugs. I love it! Rugs for at least three generations. Cheap yarn, mad, wild, clashing colours. Don’t even have to look anymore! (Paradox) They never quite end up square!

4. Story telling. (Paradox) personal stories can bite you or someone else!

5. Paradox! As I learned at a story telling conference , it makes room for change!
