Should I:

give in or hold my ground; ignore the heavy lifting (insistent pooch) or do it anyway; remain silent or release all the expletives at the back of my throat; hope or let it go; turn up my volume or turn my volume to zero; enjoy the gentle rain or grumble about the wet chair I plonked myself seeking some fresh air; worry about the state of the world or, as a good friend of mine suggests ” let go and let God”.

After some consideration the decision is: pause for a drumroll…….
