I kid you NOT!

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

5.00am this 74 year old rolls over,

5.15 this 74 year old rolls out of bed and travels to the light of the bathroom. Beloved Lexi, (pooch) is licking her “licky plate” frantically consuming her first course of breakfast. First words of the day “Hello Joe”.

5.30 ensure Lexxi’s , comfort toys are positioned in our bed ready for the ensuing panic. Triple L usually rolls over into new position. I get back into bed. Lexxi has bonding before departure ritual with Joe.

5.55 lights in the house go off, lit by the son’s torch, Madam Lexxi is handed to me “Have a day” to the departing offspring. On cue, at the sound of the front door closing, Madam either whimpers a little or howls like a banshee, seeks out something to chew. When comfort is not immediately found, it’s usually my pyjamas that are chewed. Depending of the degree of her terror, she has a go at chewing my hand – which terrifies me because of my blood thinning medication ….., Triple L ( same blood thinners) tries to assist which doubles my panic until finally SHE gives in and by 6.06 that precious, beloved pooch is snuggled and asleep!

It’s only 8 days out of every 14!
