My nighties and my incontinence protection!

I remember the times before over the counter purchase of sanitary wear. Won’t go into details!

I remember purchasing “ modess pads” from the chemist, already wrapped in brown paper for anonymity….. as effing if the boys on the bus home didn’t know what they were and carried on regardless!

Now at 73, I proudly collect a range of incontinence protection for nighttime, daytime, extra protection daytime for long trips or days out! I don’t use them all the time but when I do, I anticipate that “ light bladder leakage” is more likely to be a damn burst.

I walk tall ( with the help of my walking aid), I stand tall ( even if my knees are quietly screaming) and I think – every day above ground is a bonus! AND my most recent cause of a sense of pride is that I have gone down from a “large” to a “medium” in my extra security daytime coverage in my special protection!

At the end of each day, I feel the joy of taking off my bra, grabbing my nighttime protection, yanking them up and putting on my much loved cotton nightie!

Who’d be dead and missing out on all of this?
