Misery

If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

I would be Annie Wilkes ( Misery – Stephen King) I haven’t read the book but I RELISH the film!

To be able to exact revenge on the “hierarchy” of the past – both clerical and secular . But that’s not going to happen!

Realising I am venting vitriol, I would also like, Bette Middler in First Wives Club, balance that with my desire for ” world peace”! Not much chance of that happening either!

However, I’m not a character in a book or film. I’m me, just as I know I am! And I wouldn’t, couldn’t ever be anyone else!

When my children were little I used to say to them ” you be good, you be kind, you be careful, you be yourself .” It was the farewell tag line of an early variety talk show in the 60s. I always added “Because if you can’t be yourself, you can’t be anyone else!”
